Kristīne Upīte, is Latvian, currently living in Riga. She has two bachelor degrees – in painting and in art education. Her style is very much contemporary but it presents itself as earthy and real, she uses shadows and light to create beautiful versions of everyday things. As an emerging illustrator in the Baltics she has been in two group exhibitions, “Academia 100” in “Arsenals Hall” Riga, and in the contemporary art exhibition “Savage” in Drusti, Latvia
